Developing the core communication skills and flexible approach to maximise the impact of your workplace conversations with their team, leaders and other stakeholders.

Our flagship programme can be delivered in a virtual, face-to-face or hybrid format, and provides focus and practice on our Five Conversation Styles©, to address your specific objectives. At the heart of our approach is an interactive and highly practical one-day workshop to introduce you to the Five Styles, followed by additional options to help you become practiced in when and how to use them.

    • Run for your organisation in groups of 9 to 12 participants

    • 1-day immersive workshop

    • Additional options to embed behaviours

    • Available in Face-to-Face or Virtual ‘Zoom’ format

    • Appropriate for all levels from team member to CEO

    • ‘Off-the-shelf’ or tailor-made and branded for your organisation

  • Six weeks prior, delegates receive joining instructions, to prepare and think about one forthcoming workplace conversation that they are not confident in having. In addition, we offer the option for each delegate (and nominated individuals) to complete an online 360 feedback questionnaire in advance of the workshop.

    • Individuals will become skilled and confident in using Five Conversations Styles© a highly accessible framework to flex their personal style and behaviour in different situations, to get the outcome they want.

    • Increased level of self-awareness and confidence in how they interact and present themselves to others.

    • Acquisition of new skills to influence and engage different stakeholders, increasing the likelihood of achieving a positive impact.

    • More comfortable with uncomfortable situations, behaving in an appropriate way to get the impact required.

    • Ready with a range of responses for different business conversations, to influence, motivate, manage conflict or build a relationship – the essential ‘soft skills’ required for every manager or leader.

    • Practice, observation and feedback using live workplace conversations, making the learning highly relevant and quick to apply.

Workshop Overview

  • Our team of actors provide a memorable and highly engaging start to the day. Delegates see a workplace conversation in action, understand the challenges, make live changes and see the impact these have.

  • Working in smaller groups of 3 or 4, delegates are introduced to the Five Conversation Styles© and learn when and how to use them, as part of their own meetings and interactions. There is also the option of having profile reports for individuals to identify strengths and gaps.

  • Delegates relate the Five Conversation Styles© to their own environment/situations as a manager/leader and learn the ‘3 questions’ to help them become practiced in how to prepare and structure their conversations.

  • Working in their small groups, each delegate prepares and practices their real workplace conversation. Each delegate captures their personal actions in a highly structured feedback session. Each individual receives a practical toolkit, laminated A4 summary of the Five Conversations and a desktop reminder.

Additional options

  • Our in-house 360 feedback tool provides rigorous benchmarking, assessment and analysis against our the Five Conversation Styles© (measured by 30 standards of behaviour). Team and individual profile reports collate the results, showing how people’s communication and impact is currently perceived in the workplace. One-to-one coaching sessions help to debrief the results, heighten self-awareness, and provide focused development on specific behaviours and areas of impact.

  • A series of short 90 mins webinars, integrated with work experience, over a 2-3 month period. The interactive format maximises focus and engagement and ensures everyone is in the right mindset for learning. These can be delivered stand alone or as an integrated package pre or post-workshop.

  • Ideally, 2-3 weeks after the workshop, this group session provides an open forum for participants to share learning and experiences from the work conversations they’ve been having, and build momentum by agreeing on actions to start, stop and continue practicing.

  • To heighten self-awareness and provide focused development on specific behaviours and areas of impact. Helping individuals to decide where and how to focus attention, practice and ‘do the work’.

  • Short, high-impact sessions will help to refine, practice and fine-tune the specific styles and behaviours each individual is working on. Working one-to-one or in small groups with our specialist actor-coaches, helps to build greater confidence and acceleration of development in areas where a different impact is required.
