Building confidence and impact of client-facing teams to communicate effectively and build relationships with C-Suite level (‘executive’) clients.

Our blended development programme is designed specifically for your organisation and built on benchmark behaviours that define what success looks like for an ‘Executive Communicator’ in your organisation. The programme consists of 4 elements, delivered in virtual or face-to-face format, and integrated with work experience over a 3-month period.

    1. What do C-level clients expect from an ‘executive communicator’– what would they be doing/saying/behaving?

    2. What impact should they have with such clients? i.e. What would be the client’s perception? What would the client walk away thinking and doing?

    3. How would they effectively deal with challenging situations?

    4. What would they do to effectively ‘engage’ such clients (so they listen to us and buy-in to our recommendations)?

    5. How would they show confidence?

    6. How would they convey recommendations and opinions in a context that the client cares about? e.g. impact on. change initiatives, long-term, financial & commercial impact.

    7. How would they successfully prepare ahead of such meetings? i.e. What would they say or do in a meeting that would demonstrate this higher level of preparation and thought?

    • Being seen as a ‘trusted advisor’, rather than a consultant, sales exec or project manager.

    • Identification of new business opportunities.

    • Development of higher value strategic relationships.

    • More effective engagement, influence and rapport building with key decision makers (at higher level).

    • Leading more open, dynamic, commercial conversations, rather than following a more rigid/set meeting process.

    • Building added value for the client through a deeper understanding of them, their business and market.

Programme overview

  • A short, interactive virtual session to introduce and engage delegates in the programme and identify what they want to get from it. Also, to connect as a learning group and agree how to work together.

  • Half-day virtual workshop including facilitated discussion, introduction of benchmark behaviours, insights and tools, with practice in small break-outs.

  • A full day of practice with C level executive meetings, designed specifically for each group. There are opportunities to pause, reflect, rewind each of the meetings, inputting tools from the insights workshop.

Use of feedback forms used by actor-coaches and participants to capture specific observations, to help improve impact.

  • This half-day virtual session is fuelled by lots of discussion (and reflection) in the main room and break-outs to generate key learnings and actions, to build momentum for the future.
